Youngwood Eye Care is committed to providing a comprehensive assessment of your eyes— taking into consideration your overall health and well-being. That means we ask questions about you: your health history and concerns, your vision needs, your daily activities and hobbies, and your long-term vision goals. This allows us to become advocates of your lifestyle needs and the doctors will make necessary recommendations to maintain healthy vision.

Dr. Michel Pawlosky Maiers
OPTOMETRIST
Michel L. Pawlosky-Maiers started Youngwood Eye Care, Inc. in September of 2007. Dr. Pawlosky received her undergrad degree from Seton Hill University in Greensburg and her doctorate of optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Pawlosky is a native of Greensburg, PA and she and her husband Matt reside in Greensburg, PA and have two daughters, Maggie and Morgan.
Dr. Pawlosky is a member of the American Optometic Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Association and is a Past President of the Youngwood Area Business Association. She has been an active member in the organization since its inception.
Dr. Pawlosky Maiers is also on the Board for the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit Foundation. She also was a Participant the Animal Friends of Westmoreland Fundraiser, "Dancing with the Celebrities" that was held on April 28, 2017 that was held at the Palace Theater.
Youngwood Eye Care and Dr. Pawlosky are very excited to provide eye care services to Youngwood and the surrounding area. Dr. Pawlosky is very committed to providing quality eye care to all of her patients and is looking forward to building positive professional relationships with each patient she meets.
Dr. Judith Uphold
OPTOMETRIST
Prior to joining Youngwood Eye Care, Dr. Judith Uphold earned her Bachelors degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Washington & Jefferson College. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated with clinical honors in each of her rotations.
Dr. Uphold has been practicing primary eye care since graduation. She diagnoses and manages ocular pathology including diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration and ocular surface disease. She is well versed in managing ocular emergencies and well as fitting specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Uphold grew up in Connellsville and now resides in Confluence with her husband, Greg and daughter Perrin and son Niam. She welcomes all new patients, existing patients and children. She looks forward to meeting all of you!
